In the modern product design and development we often deal with combination of Software + Firmware + Mechanics.
These different systems shall be designed according to requirements, which have dependencies. We need to manage high complexity of design, implementation, testing and maintenance phases of product lifecyle.
Solution comes from use of:
- Software-related and System-related “Application Lifecycle Management” (ALM)
- Product-related “Product Lifecycle Management” (PLM)
- Agile, SAFe, Waterfall approaches
Using example of Siemens tools we will look at usage of ALM+PLM in modern product design.
